Provide means for accessing the best available information on treatment/provider options by:

  • Engaging the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in establishing a state-level “Center for Consumer Health Care Information” that includes provider profiles, hospital surveys, and home health agency profiles.
  • Evaluating and improving the current health care provider profiling system.
  • Educating and creating incentives for health care providers on mental health issues in order to properly diagnose illnesses and treat with successfully proven methods.

More information helps consumers engage more intelligently in their own care and that of their families.
